WHEN J.T. GETS KIDNAPPED, IT ENDS IN DISASTER – Cat (Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent (Jay Ryan) must work together to save J.T. (Austin Basis) when he gets kidnapped, while Tori (guest star Amber Skye Noyes) attempts to intervene, with fatal consequences.

Meanwhile, a stranger (guest star Tom Everett Scott) from FBI Agent Dana Landon’s (guest star Elisabeth Rohm) past is rescued along with J.T., and might have some insight about Vincent’s beastly past. Sendhil Ramamurthy and Nina Lisandrello also star. Allan Kroeker directed the episode written by Brad Kern and Wendy Straker Hauser

Catherine “Cat” Chandler (Kristin Kreuk, “Smallville,” “Chuck”) is a smart, no-nonsense detective, spurred to action after hired killers murdered her mother – and would have murdered Cat, too – if something, some beast, hadn’t stopped them. Ten years later, a case brings her to Vincent Keller (Jay Ryan, “Top of the Lake,” “Terra Nova”), a supposedly deceased soldier living off the grid with the help of his loyal childhood friend and scientist, J.T. Forbes (Austin Basis, “Life Unexpected”). Cat is shocked to discover that her mother was involved in an experiment to make super-soldiers and, when the experiment went wrong, the soldiers, including Vincent, were turned into uncontrollable beasts.

Vincent managed to escape the experiment alive, but is now being Hunted by Muirfield, the organization that sent the gunmen after Cat’s mother. Vincent had been tracking them, which led him to be in the right place to save Cat on that terrible night ten years ago. He’s been drawn to her ever since. Cat, too, is drawn to Vincent, and an epic love begins. Muirfield reappears and infiltrates Cat’s life, costing her some of her closest relationships. She’s lied to her own sister, Heather (guest star Nicole Gale Anderson), and to her best friend and partner, Detective Tess Vargas (Nina Lisandrello, “Nurse Jackie”), in order to protect them. When police cases involving “beast” elements go unsolved, Assistant District Attorney Gabriel Lowan (Sendhil Ramamurthy, “Covert Affairs,” “Heroes”) is assigned to track down this mysterious “vigilante.”

Lowan, who uses questionable methods in his attempt to Capture this beast, quickly recognizes Cat’s attachment to the creature, admits he is also a beast, and kidnaps Cat in the hopes of luring Vincent to his death. In the final battle, Gabe is seriously wounded by mysterious men in a helicopter who Capture Vincent, separating Cat from the man she loves and has sacrificed everything for. As season two begins, Cat reunites with Vincent after last season’s abduction – but not in the way she planned. He’s changed: his scar has disappeared, his memory has been wiped clean, and he returns as a supercharged beast on a mysterious mission. Cat needs to unravel the reasons behind Vincent’s change if she has any hope of recovering their epic love, while also trying to solve the secrets that swirl around her own life. With the help of friends J.T., Tess and reformed ADA Lowan, Cat is determined to get answers and save her soul-mate.

On the mid-season finale of “Beauty and the Beast,” the gang tried to stop Reynolds from carrying out his assassination mission against Vincent.

In “Man or Beast?,” Vincent (Jay Ryan) and Tori (Amber Skye Noyes) are about to be blown up by a bomb. Tori uses her beastly powers to break free of her bonds, and Vincent tells her that they’ll track down whoever is trying to kill them. But when they meet in the middle of the room, it explodes.

Meanwhile, Gabe (Senhil Ramamurthy) and Cat (Kristin Kreuk) have figured out that Reynolds (Ted Whittall) is the one behind the beast killings. Gabe and Cat both run to the scene, but Vincent is nowhere to be found.

When Cat gets to her apartment, she is shocked to find both Vincent and Tori. They were both able to escape the explosion, but Tori was wounded.

Gabe and J.T. (Austin Basis) explain to Cat and Tess (Nina Lisandrello) that they want to catch Reynolds by making him believe that Vincent and Tori are dead, and that they have incriminating evidence that links him to their deaths. But Reynolds has booked a flight to Geneva to escape the country, so they have to carry out their plan before his flight leaves.

Vincent’s role in the plan is to track down the guy who kidnapped Tori and rigged the bomb, who Tori saw when he tied her up.

Cat and Gabe then meet with Reynolds at the FBI office, where they convince him that they have evidence regarding Vincent’s handler. Then to make Reynolds feel even guiltier, Cat cries at the end of the visit and tells Reynolds that she doesn’t know what she would do without him.

Meanwhile, Vincent and Tori find the bomber, but Tori ends up killing him. Tori reveals that she thought the plan to bring him back alive was stupid all along, and says she wants Reynolds dead. Cat and the gang are angry that she killed the bomber. Nevertheless, Tori tries to convince Vincent that they should kill Reynolds together.

The team then decides to use the bomb maker’s phone to blackmail Reynolds. They send Reynolds a photo and a message from the phone, successfully threatening him.

Later, Reynolds doesn’t catch his flight out of America; he meets with Gabe in a dark parking lot. Gabe proceeds to show them the fake evidence they have, but Reynolds thinks that Gabe is lying. Then he says that he should have killed Gabe too, giving them all the evidence they need to press charges against him.

Reynolds tries to get away, but Cat stands in front of his car, pointing at gun at his head. Just as she’s driving him to the station, Vincent jumps onto the windshield, causing the car to crash. While Cat is passed out, Vincent tears Reynolds from the car and beats him, screaming “You did this to me!” Vincent tries to choke him to death, but Cat intervenes, telling him not to kill him.

He doesn’t listen, so Cat shoots him, and he runs away. She thens points the gun at Reynolds, telling him again that he’s under arrest.

As Reynolds sits in jail, Tori goes to Vincent, who is bandaging his wounds.

On the next episode, “Don’t Die on Me,” Cat will be interrogated and Vincent’s life will be in jeopardy.

On Monday night’s mid-season finale of Beauty And the Beast, fans of The CW remake of the 1980’s classic series found out just how far Detective Catherine Chandler (series lead Kristin Kreuk) would go for her love, Vincent Keller (series lead Jay Ryan); and it wasn’t all sunshine and roses.

Given the fact that the team – Cat, Vincent, Tess (series regular Nina Lisandrello), J.T. (series regular Austin Basis) and Gabriel (series regular Sendhil Ramamurthy) – finally figured out in last week’s episode that Cat’s biological father FBI Special Agent Bob Reynolds (recurring guest star Ted Whittall) was Vincent’s mysterious handler they had to figure out how to bring him down. After all, Reynolds has been the man pulling all the strings on Vincent’s “beast hits”, was the one to take Vincent’s memories and basically kidnapped Vincent at the end of the show’s first season.

But the big question was how they were going to bring Reynolds down when they didn’t have enough proof to convict him. New beast Tori Windsor (recurring guest star Amber Skye Noyes) kept insisting to Vincent that they needed to take him down, ending his life; but Cat, Tess and Gabe were, of course, strongly opposed to that option. They wanted to bring Reynolds down and send him to prison where he belonged all the while holding onto the last vestige of humanity contained deep inside Vincent’s soul.

In the end, though, the inevitable showdown happened between Reynolds, Cat and Vincent with Cat taking her father in for his crimes and making the toughest, and perhaps cruelest, decision against Vincent by shooting him to stop him from killing Reynolds.

This direction in the storyline may help to add tension and have fans clamoring for the next new episode of ‘Beauty And the Beast’ – which won’t happen until January 13 – but it certainly leaves their relationship in tatters. And will, undoubtedly, open up new avenues for the powers that be behind the show to take Vincent and Catherine in new directions with their love lives.

The chemistry between Vincent and Tori has been obvious since their encounter at Thanksgiving – not to mention the kiss, reluctantly on Vincent’s part or not, they shared – and Gabe’s feelings for Cat have been written all over his face – and pointed out to him on a regular basis by Tess. So fans should probably prepare themselves for a shift in the love department for our lead characters.

In fact, according to executive producer Brad Kern, Vincent and Catherine may be apart romantically for a time, but they will “discover there is more than just love that binds them; they are destined to be together for more than just romantic reasons. There is a mythological reason (that) will (be discovered) too”.

Needless to say, fans will need to check out the rest of the second season of ‘Beauty And the Beast’ when it returns to The CW on Monday, January 13 at 9/8c to find out what happens next.

Brand new information on the ninth episode of the second season of The CW’s Beauty and the Beast has indeed surfaced, and it features an angry Vincent (Jay Ryan) and a panicky J.T. (Austin Basis).

In a promo clip of the respective installment, which is titled Don’t Die On Me, Catherine (Kristin Kreuk) can be seen putting down her badge and gun on a table and saying, “I really didn’t want it to end this way.”

Vincent is shown in beast mode, as per usual, and J.T. is spotted in what appears to be a less than ideal position. However, Vincent makes a bold statement about himself, saying that Vincent Keller is dead.

Meanwhile, J.T. seems to be having a panic attack of sorts, as he says “no” multiple times. Judging by the clip, it appears that the situation doesn’t look to hot for the crew.

The ninth episode of The CW’s Beauty and the Beast, Don’t Die On Me, is slated to hit the small screen on Monday, Jan. 13 at 9/8 p.m. Central Time. For more information on the upcoming installment, be sure to keep checking back with Enstars.

Will Catherine take down her own father in order to save Vincent?

In the final moments of the fall’s penultimate episode, Vincent (Jay Ryan) went to save Tori (Amber Skye Noyes) who was set up by Cat’s father, Detective Reynolds (Ted Whittal), after he became aware she was a beast. With Tori tied up and a bomb by her side, viewers were left wondering what happened when the explosion went off. (Spoiler alert! We have it on good authority both survived.)

On Monday’s midseason finale (9/8c, CW), Catherine will have to decide if she’ll help Gabe (Sendhil Ramamurthy) get Reynolds behind bars for all he’s done. She’ll also come to terms with Vincent’s beastly side overpowering his humanity and whether or not she’s willing to sacrifice everything for the sake of their love. That is, if she can even forgive him for making out with Tori.

In the clip below, Cat shows up to the scene of the explosion where she learns Vincent and Tori’s fate and is hit with the plan that included taking down her own father.
